Flos is the partner of the Milano Design Film Festival for the third edition of the event on Italian films involving the themes of design and architecture, from 15 to 18 October at Anteo spazioCinema in Milan.
After the success of the past editions, this year FLOS has decided to sponsor the screening of the documentary by Elia Romanelli “Tobia Scarpa. The secret soul of things” (Italy, 2014), a human and artistic portrait of the great designer, a fundamental figure of the history and growth of Flos for over twenty years.
For the occasion, during the days of the festival and for over one month, FLOS presents an exhibition on Scarpa work in the showroom at Corso Monforte 15 in Milan, with photographs, drawings and objects from the archives of Tobia Scarpa, the Flos historical archive and the most important design companies with which Scarpa has worked.
In the same space, Marsilio Editori will present the volume “Tobia Scarpa. The secret soul of things” edited by Elisa Pajer and Elena Brigi, which together with the film will be distributed in a special case, starting in mid-October.
Flos also lights up the spaces of the Anteo cinema, the location of the festival, with iconic products from its Home Collection, designed by Scarpa, including the striking Fantasma (1961), the floor lamp in cocoon, a distinctive material of Flos production from the outset, and the Biagio table lamp (1968) made in Carrara white statuary marble.
