Salone Banca di Bologna – Palazzo De’ Toschi – Piazza Minghetti 4/D, Bologna – until 24 February 2019

The exhibition, composed of a selection of photographic prints in various formats, a slide show and a multi-channel video installation, will be presented in an ambitious, innovative setting created by the architect Kris Kimpe, who often collaborates with the artist.

The exhibition in Bologna is linked to the solo show by Geert Goiris at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Antwerp, held in November-December 2018. The artist worked simultaneously on the two projects, creating two itineraries featuring many of the same works, seen in a different arrangement to adapt to the host spaces.

The title matches that of the video installation, Terraforming Fantasies: the term reflects speculations on the future of humankind, referring to the possibility of making other planets resemble the Earth, and thus become inhabitable for human beings.
