The Triennale Design Museum and Flospresent the first major retrospective in Italy on Gino Sarfatti, curated by Marco Romanelli and Sandra Severi Sarfatti, to mark the 100th anniversary of his birth. The exhibition offers a chance to ratify the role of Sarfatti as one of the Italian and international design masters, while reinterpreting his pioneering work in the field of lighting. During his career Gino Sarfatti created, with great innovative force, over 650 lighting fixtures, organizing their production and distribution on the most important international markets through Arteluce, the company he founded. The link between Arteluce and Flos happened in 1973, when Sarfatti ceded the firm and his designs to Flos. A vast selection of pieces from the Flos historical archives and the Sarfatti archives, from Galerie Kreo in Paris and other private international collectors, to narrate the career of Gino Sarfatti, in a visual interpretation of the link between light and space, with an accent on inventions related to new technologies. www.triennale.it.
