The manufacturer of floors and facings in porcelain stoneware, part of theConcorde Group, has taken 1st prize for the category “Green Management” at the Festival Green Economy Distretto. Ceramiche Keope won 1st place, selected by the technical commission to “draw attention to the voluntary initiative of environmental management designed to evaluate, through external certification, the direct and indirect emissions of CO2 of the plant, while developing a plan of improvement for the reduction of emissions of greenhouse gases, based on the ISO 14064 standard for application of the Kyoto Protocol. Ceramiche Keope stands out as probably the only ceramics company to have obtained this certification on an international scale. The process has involved difficult modeling of emissions throughout the production cycle, inside and outside the plant. This initiative is also accompanied by other important environmental management measures, as proven by other environmental product certifications (Ecolabel UE,  ANAB – ICEA) in compliance with the LEED system”.
