Innovation and sustainability in building have found a home in Corsico, on the outskirts of Milan. The new Habitat Lab is a building-workshop with which the Saint-Gobain Group sets out to promote, in Italy, its vision of the habitat and a new way of building, paying attention to energy, materials and emissions, as well as the comfort and wellbeing of people. Over 1200 m2 of area, two years of work, an overall investment of 4 million euros. The innovative Saint-Gobain solutions have been applied for the opaque and transparent enclosure, the suspended ceilings, internal dividers, roofing, photovoltaic system and finishing materials. Habitat Lab becomes the strong point of Saint-Gobain Italia, an excellent example of the kind of innovation the company pursues and promotes in our country, also in response to the present crisis, to promote a rebound of the construction sector. “Habitat Lab is the first building made in Italy according to the Multi-Comfort standards, the program of integrated solutions offered to the construction market by Saint-Gobain”, says Gianni Scotti, general director of Saint-Gobain in Italy, Egypt, Greece and Turkey. http://www.habitatsaint-gobain.it/habitatlab/il-centro.
