Un'inedita mostra dedicata alla ricerca multiforme e alla complessa e variegata produzione artistica di Bruno Munari

Fondazione Plart, Naples

30 November 2018 – 20 March 2019

Opening: Wednesday 29 November, 19.00

Fondazione Donnaregina per le arti contemporanee, in collaboration with Fondazione Plart, in the context of the 2018 edition of Progetto XXI, presents the exhibition Bruno Munari. I colori della luce, curated by Miroslava Hajek and Marcello Francolini.

Bruno Munari (Milan, 1907-1998), designer, writer and one of the leading figures of programmed and kinetic art, conducted very versatile research in a range of different fields.

The exhibition analyzes one particular aspect and one specific body of work by Munari, the Fixed light projections and Polarized light projections  made in the 1950s, in pursuit of a new spatial extension, beyond the two-dimensional reality of the work.

This particular aspect of Munari’s complex output will be shown for the first time in Naples, thanks to the research conducted by Fondazione Plart through the scientific digital reproduction of glass slides projected in the various spaces.
