Work is in progress for the 51st edition of the Saloni, presenting thousands of quality products for the markets of the whole world, and confirming the role of Milan as the international furnishings capital. There are new developments for EuroCucina, now also covering complements and accessories for the kitchen. The layout that combines the Modern sector of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in a single pavilion will be repeated. Another new feature for 2012: the general public will also be able to visit i Saloni on Saturday. The coordinated events around the city will once again be a must for visitors. From furniture to objects, kitchens to bathrooms, to prototypes by designers under 35: multiple offerings of over 2500 exhibitors with 300,000 visitors expected, as happens every April, In Milan. Where else? as the advertising campaign asks this year. I Saloni will occupy 209,000 m2 of exhibition space at the Fair, with the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, EuroCucina/the International Fair of Kitchen Furnishings, the International Fair of Bath Furnishings, the International Fair of Furnishing Complements and the SaloneSatellite. The latter, this year on Design Technology, celebrates its 15th birthday. Alongside the products on display, a competition will honor the 3 best products for the kitchen and the bath. Events in the city include, at the Teatro dell’Arte of the Milan Triennale, the project Design Dance by Michela Marelli and Francesca Molteni, that will make the works of the protagonists of design speak, act and even dance. The Biblioteca Pinacoteca Accademia Ambrosiana will host the installation Librocielo created by Attilio Stocchi, a multimedia tribute to the Roman heart of the city and a reflection on living and dwelling, through the voices of antique books. www.comit.it.
