Salone del Mobile.Milano updates the event held last year, the Salone del Mobile.Milano Award, a special prize for the best in the world of furniture and design.
The prize honors the value of ideas, creativity, innovation and technology, which together contribute to make the Salone the most important international event on design trends and new ways of living.
The prize is assigned to famous and emerging designers, displays and products.
There are 11 categories: best product at Workplace3.0, best product at Euroluce, best product at xLux, best product at Classico, best display, best furnishing product, best emerging designer, best designer, prize for the career, special jury prize, special Banca Intesa Sanpaolo prize.
The jury of experts: Silvana Annicchiarico, director of the Triennale Design Museum, Milan; Domitilla Dardi, design curator at MAXXI, Rome; Massimo Mini, CEO of designboom; Ettore Mochetti, editor of AD Italia; Margherita Palli, set designer; Livia Peraldo Matton, editor of Elle Decor Italia; Davide Rampello, professor of Arts and Crafts of the Territories at Politecnico di Milano.
