Multidisciplinary Time is a project by Gaetano Pesce for Padua, which has always been a "guardian city” of an artistic-cultural heritage of inestimable value

Palazzo della Ragione, Padua

23 May – 23 September 2018

Gaetano Pesce. Il Tempo multidisciplinare is an exhibition project Gaetano Pesce has created for Padua, a city with which the architect has had a bond of affection since his youth, in the awareness of Padua’s role as a guardian city of an artistic-cultural legacy of inestimable value.

About 200 works – some never shown before – of architecture and design, on view at Palazzo della Ragione, the majestic medieval civic building, in a retrospective that narrates a long career of flamboyant creativity through the constant of a multidisciplinary approach.

A different contemporary language, always driven by the curiosity to explore creative thinking, getting beyond the barriers erected between different forms of expression.

An eclectic personality in perpetual motion, in continual pursuit of new materials, forms, images capable of stimulating thought about the values of the contemporary world and those embodied by a place, a recurring theme in the entire exhibition.

“Padua honors Galileo” (detail of the observatory), 2016. An original work by Gaetano Pesce, shown for the first time in Padua. The work is connected to the thoughts and considerations made by Pesce as a student in Padua in his twenties, to explore the research Galilei conducted during the 18 years he spent in the city.
