The Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche in Faenza has been invited to South Korea to represent Italy at the Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale 2017, with a show that displays the excellence of contemporary art ceramics in Italy.
In the Earth Time, curated by Irene Biolchini, is the title of the exhibition, in line with the main theme of the Biennale, Ode to Life. The initiative presents a selection from four generations of artists, all of whom have participated in Premio Faenza, to oldest Italian ceramics prize, organized by the Museum since 1938.
The 22 artists focus on the fact that the time of the planet depends on human management of resources. Four possible approaches have emerged, as different sections in the show: From the Still Life to the materialization of the object; The Body as a tool for measuring time; Apocalypse; Spirituality beyond matter.
