A tribute to Italian art in the 20th century – Works selected from the Alberto Della Ragione Collection of Museo Novecento, Florence
MUSA Museum of Salò / Until 9 December 2018

Natura viva
The MuSa, Museum of Salò, hosts an itinerary composed of over 80 works by artists including Birolli, Campigli, Carrà, Casorati, De Chirico, De Pisis, Guttuso, Maccari, Mafai, Manzù, Marini, Marussig, Migneco, Paresce, Prampolini, Rosai and Scipione.
The magical atmospheres of the works point to a reality that lies far outside common experience. An incessant wandering beyond the appearances of things, silent contemplation, patient, profound research, with the clear aim of overturning the concept of art as it had been understood before.
“Italianissima” focuses on works from the collection donated to Museo Novecento by Alberto della Ragione, a patron of the arts who decided to purchase works by artists of his time.
The show features the famous Spatial Concepts by Lucio Fontana, one of the larges Achromes created by Piero Manzoni, and an intriguing drawing by Alberto Savinio.
