To deal with the problem of depletion of fish resources, Dan Watson,a graduate of the Royal College of Art (UK), has designed a series of escape rings for fish, capable of modernizing traditional fishing nets. This project has won the international James Dyson Award for 2012. Dan Watson will use the £10,000 prize to further develop a larger range of prototypes for the SafetyNet and to meet governmental standards. www.jamesdysonaward.org.
