Fondazione Achille Castiglioni presents, starting on 16 February 2016, an exhibition from a trilogy to explore a theme approached in an absolutely original way by the Castiglioni brothers, namely that of the Domestic Dimension. The project crosses a span of three years, from 2016 to 2018.

In 2016 the show focused on the Living Area https://www.internimagazine.it/news/agenda/dimensione-domestica/?

This year, in 2017, the focus is on the dining area created for the exhibition La casa abitata, in a reconstruction of the show held in 1965 at Palazzo Strozzi in Florence.

The reconstructed environment is accompanied by original drawings and photographs from the Foundation’s archives.

In 2018 the cycle concludes with the reconstruction of the dining area designed by Achille Castiglioni on his own for the exhibition Mobili italiani (Tokyo, 1984).

The three exhibitions are curated by Beppe Finessi, with graphic design by Italo Lupi, while the installations are by Marco Marzini, who also presents his own interpretation of ‘interior space’ through a mise-en-scène at the entrance of the Foundation.
