At the Chiostro dei SS. Cosma e Damiano on the Giudecca island in Venice, Adan Vallecillo, the artist from Honduras, winner of the illySustainart prize, which offers a residence studio at Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa in Venice, presented his artistic research and his plans for the residency, which is a program of study lasting three months at Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa, where the artist can work in close contact with other young artists using the studios of the Foundation, and participate with them in the many annual initiatives organized for young artists. A personal atelier has been made available inside the SS. Cosma e Damiano complex of the Giudecca (already the home of five of the twelve studios of BLM), a place that will frequently be visited by journalists, critics and curators, invited by the Foundation, including independent professionals and representatives of leading national and international institutions, like Palais de Tokyo (Paris), Camden Arts Centre (London), Künstlerhaus Bethanien (Berlin). Vallecillo will also be able to present his work to the general public, during the Artists’ Talks and the days of Open Studios. During the three months, he will live in the guesthouse at Palazzo Carminati, in close contact with other young artists assigned studios by the Foundation. www.illysustainArt.org.
