The exhibition is the result of collaboration between two institutions – La Triennale di Milano and Fondazione Nicola Trussardi – which both focus on the present, in all its forms, including the most experimental and innovative languages of contemporary art and culture.

The Restless Earth – the title comes from a collection of poems by the Caribbean writer Édouard Glissant – narrates the present as an unstable territory in a polyphonic approach of stories and tensions.

Through the works of over 65 artists from many different countries –Albania, Algeria, Bangladesh, Egypt, Ghana, Iraq, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria and Turkey – and an installation extending from the ground floor of the Triennale to the upper level, The Restless Earth speaks of epochal transformations, especially in terms of migration and the refugee crisis.
