Lake Como Design Festival has launched an open call for participation for independent designers, publishers and galleries in view of the next edition in September. The registration deadline is July 15

In Como, Lake Como Design Festival returns from 17 to 25 September 2022: the widespread review of events that will populate wonderful historical and in some cases even unpublished locations, on the shores of the lake.

Neo-nomadism as a guide

Launched for the first time in 2018, this year the Lake Como Design Festival reaches its fourth edition with a theme that fully reflects the liquidity of current times: neo-nomadism, understood as the need, the desire, the will to migrate. But also the boundless connection between digital and real life.

Open call open until July 15th

With this common denominator, an open call to join the Festival is currently open, aimed at independent designers, publishers and galleries, which will remain active until 15 July 2022.

The selection of the projects presented will be hosted at the Casartelli Science Museum: starting from 16 September all the works presented by the exhibitors will be sold through an online auction on Catawiki (the most visited marketplace in Europe which has over 65,000 objects offered at the auction every week).

The schedule

During the days of the Festival, numerous events will be scheduled, including talks, workshops and exhibitions, all aimed at establishing a dialogue between history, architecture, design and art.

The protagonist will certainly be the collective exhibition curated by Francesca Alfano Miglietti, developed in different points of the city and in which some of the most famous Italian and international artists and designers will participate.

But also the talk area, whose curation this year was entrusted to the journalist Prashanth Cattaneo, will be substantial and central to the Como Design Lake Festival program: a location of exception, Villa Gallia.
