The Swiss company in the bath sector sponsors a prize of over 10,000 pounds for the design of private homes. The winning works will be published in the August issue of Architectural Review. In the history of architecture and the collective imagination, private homes play a very important role. Their most important function is to offer shelter, but at the same time they are objects of desire, status symbols, and a favorite field of research for architects. From Le Corbusier to Koolhaas the history of modern architecture can be retraced by analyzing a series of private dwellings that have characterized an era. The AR House Awards, in the second edition this year, continue this tradition, without limitations of size, place, budget or date of project. The only condition is that the project must have been built. A jury of international experts will examine all the projects and select the winners, who will receive their awards on 7 September in London. www.arhouse.co.uk.
