Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain presents the exhibition Le Grand Orchestre des Animaux, inspired by the work of Bernie Krause, an American musician and bioacoustician.

The event brings together artists from around the globe in an aesthetic meditation on the increasingly endangered world of animals.

The exhibition has both visual and audio components.

In the transparent spaces of Fondation Cartier, the Mexican architects Gabriela Carrillo and Mauricio Rocha present the great orchestra of the animal kingdom.

Exploring the multiple perspectives offered by the ‘glass house,’ they create a setting with terracotta bricks that incorporates the garden and the internal spaces of the building designed by Jean Nouvel.

This architectural structure metaphorically reproduces the configuration of a symphony orchestra.
