To climb mountains, reaching the summit with one’s own strength, is an increasingly popular discipline. But the mountains demand respect, and to climb them you need to know their specific features and most suitable techniques.
To learn these secrets, Grand Hotel Kronenhof in Pontresina (one of the most important neo-Baroque facilities in the Alps, listed as protected heritage) offers mountaineering weeks from guests, in the period 4-9 July, 19-24 September and 10-15 October 2016.
During the week, guests will be supervised by professional mountain guides and will have the opportunity to participate in three tours: “Climbing tour on ice” on the Morteratsch Glacier; “Climbing tour on rock,” also on the Morteratsch; and “Hiking tour on Piz Palü.”
