A showcase of tableware and gift ideas in the heart of Milan’s luxury shopping zone. Several exclusive brands are taking part in the initiative Luxury is Great, part of a campaign organized by the British government to promote the excellence of the United Kingdom around the world.

Aimed at lovers of the lavish, Luxury is Great has been coordinated by the Consumer & Luxury team directed by Marina Iremonger.

The project is the result of collaboration of the Department for International Trade–DiT and the British Consulate in Milan with the MonteNapoleone District, an association of 150 Global Luxury Brands operating in the fashion quad of Milan.

The partner of the initiative is the British company Walpole, which represents leading luxury brands in the UK.

One table presents items by Wedgwood, two are set aside for Portmeirion, one for Halcyon Days and another for Richard Brendon. There are also “decorations” from other companies associated with Walpole such as Clive Christian, Ettinger, Molton Brown, Aspinal of London, Linda Farrow.

The five tables feature velvets supplied by Holland&Sherry, a London-based textile firm that produces fabrics for clothing and interiors.
