In terms of the incoming activity of foreign operators, in 2016 the collaboration with IICE-Italian Trade Agency and Confindustria Marmomacchine continues, within the initiatives related to the Plan of special promotion of Made in Italy organized by the Ministry of Economic Development .

The conference Global Trends in Design and Sustainability is an event produced in collaboration with the American magazine Architectural Record to forecast the future of stone construction, along with major international architecture firms. This year, furthermore, Marmomacc involves Archmarathon, the festival of architecture that brings together 42 design studios, with the establishment of the new Stone Award. Another new development is the Icon Award, to select one work from those on display at Pavilion 1 as the image of Marmomacc 2017.
For the fifth year, Marmomacc & the City brings stone works and installations to the streets and courtyards of the historic center of Verona, in a true outdoor itinerary that reveals the versatility and beauty of stone products.
Finally, the 10th Best Communicator Award of Marmomacc focuses on the quality and originality of the stands of exhibiting companies.
