The independent design festival of the Mediterranean is back: the call for designers is open until 15 June
From 20 to 23 September 2018 in Catanzaro the third edition will be held of Materia Independent Design Festival, an event of “contemporary contamination” whose mission is to create connections between the experience of crafts and the innovative capacity of design, to create products rooted in the tradition, reinterpreted with an eye on the future.
Invented and developed by Officine AD, founded by the architects Domenico Garofalo and Giuseppe Anania, in its first two outings the festival racked up major numbers.
Until 15 June the call for designers under 40 continues. The projects have to respond to the theme of the event PASTmeetsFUTURE and fit into one of the following categories: product design, furnishings, fashion design (apparel and accessories), complements, food design, eco-design, sound and video design, game design. Young designers and artisans and emerging brands can compete by presenting Prototypes, Production and Self-production.
