Fascinated by faces since childhood, Corinne Sutter grew up with brushes and paints. Over the years she has honed a series of original painting techniques that multiply the spectacular quality of her work, connected not only with an unexpected final result, but also with the artistic gesture in its own right.

For the event of Interni Material Immaterial during the FuoriSalone 2017, the rollicking performances of the Swiss artist meet up with a legendary icon: Mickey Mouse.

On 4 April, in the courtyard of the Università degli Studi di Milano, the artist will make a series of canvases depicting the world’s most popular mouse, using her most famous technique (upside down) that consists of making a work within the work: one of them takes form before the eyes of the viewers, and the other appears as if by magic when the work is turned over, for a truly surprising effect.
