On 6 February in Turin, the unveiling of the project of architectural restructuring created by Building Engineering for the historic Baroque palazzo in the city center takes it back to its essential forms, now enhanced by physical plant systems, infrastructures and finishes capable of improving functional quality without compromising the original image of the site. For the highest levels of comfort, increased security and reduced operating costs, improving energy efficiency at the same time, the Palazzo has been equipped with the latest automation technology. Great care has gone into the restoration of the spaces protected by the Piedmont Heritage Authorities, like the elegant entrance with its decorated vaults, the facades on Via XX settembre and Via Alfieri, and the piano nobile. But the most interesting aspect of the project is the fact that art is the protagonist, together with the architectural structure, becoming an integral part of the renovation. The task of designing and producing a range of artworks for the Palazzo, public pieces that can be enjoyed by all, has been assigned to the artist Richi Ferrero.
