The Designtech Hub was inaugurated today within the MIND Milano Innovation District, a new large interdisciplinary hub dedicated to innovation that is coming to life in the former Expo area, dedicated to a community of startups, companies and professionals in the design industry

In Milan, the world capital of design, the home of Designtech opens its doors to the presence of high institutional offices at municipal and regional level, including the President of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana, a dynamic ecosystem of spaces and services, where design and experimentation will grow together, between coworking, coliving and cofactory formats, to design and build the habitats of the future, public and private, of a sustainable, carbon neutral and inclusive city.

Innovation hub

Designtech is positioned as an innovation hub that builds a bridge between the companies that represent the excellence of made in Italy and international design and the startups of digital entrepreneurs, creatives and designers who, optimizing the potential of the main transformative technologies and declining them in terms of sustainability, they have the potential to revolutionize the way we live.

From vision to project

"It is an important day, in which we celebrate the grounding of a project that just over a couple of years ago was just a vision", explained Ivan Tallarico, founder of Designtech and CEO of Hi-Interiors.

Innovative materials and products

The first coworking space, conceived as a showcase of prototypes, innovative materials and products, with an adjoining event space and food experience lounge, inaugurated today within the MIND is the result of the collaboration with Lombardini22 as design partner and with the developer of the Lendlease area, an international real estate group leader in the sector of infrastructures and regeneration of urban areas, which has obtained a concession from Arexpo SpA, for a period of 99 years, the development area that belonged to Expo2015.

Industrial and technological partners

The hub currently has the participation of about forty industrial partners (Ernestomeda, Mangini, Kreon, Adrenalina, Interface, Omnitex, Estel, Kindof, Italian Creation Group, Caimi, Universal Selecta, Centrufficio, Quadrifoglio, PlayWood, Pedrali, Viki Corp, Sedus, Cesare Roversi, Humanscale, Hw style, Herman Miller, Garc, Florim, Sec, Tarkett, Gruppo Bardelli, Lendlease, Real Step, Lombardini22, Pininfarina, Open Building, Giuseppe Tortato, SIB Società Italiana Brevetti, CMS, ABB, Roboze, Würth, Rhea Vendors, NGM), which are also flanked by multinational companies in the sector, and 4 technological partners (Dassault Systèmes, Microsoft, AWS, Hubspot).
