Orgatec 2016 has reported outstanding results: 130,000 square meters of display area (105,000 in 2014) with two new additional halls used for the first time, set aside for the contract sector; 671 exhibitors from 40 countries (627 two years ago), and an unprecedented level of internationalism: 73% of the exhibitors were from abroad. The enthusiasm was also confirmed by the visitors, with 56,000 arriving from 118 countries, as opposed to 50,000 two years ago, for an increase of over 10%. International visitors in Cologne came in large numbers from the European Union (+18%), the Middle East (+14.2%), Asia (+63%) and Africa (+13%).
