An exhibition-market of unusual, rare and antique plants and flowers, Orticola is an important Italian showcase for the national and international nursery sector, which for 23 years has donated its income to the cause of green spaces in the city.
Al piacer mio was the theme for the edition in 2018.
In the Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli, at the center of a large lawn, Untitled_Animals by Claudia Losi was a large sheet of pure silk colored with natural dyes on which the artist arranged a constellation of prints of animals of different kinds, suggesting the illustrations of fables.
The work was previewed in the Cortile d’Onore of Università degli Studi di Milano during the exhibition-event INTERNI House in Motion (16-28 April 2018).
It was part of the project Orticola Arte, organized by Orticola Lombardia in collaboration with the City of Milan with the support of INTERNI.
Among the initiatives of FuoriOrticola located around the city, at the Cortile della Farmacia of the Università degli Studi di Milano on Via Festa del Perdono, from 8 to 25 May visitors can also enjoy the exhibition La bellezza dei fiori curated by the University, Orticola di Lombardia and Agri-Cultura
