“Poetry of the real” is the first major retrospective of the work of Toni Nicolini, one of the most refined Italian photographers, who passed away in 2012.
His pictures, from the 1960s to the 2000s, reveal a clear perspective on our time and the changes in society as a whole. The show and the book published by Contrasto and edited by Giovanna Calvenzi and Walter Liva are the result of lengthy archival research conducted by Cesare Colombo and Walter Liva.
At Forma Meravigli visitors can see a wide selection of images made by Nicolini during the five decades of his career.
The show is organized by CRAF (Centro di Ricerca e Archiviazione della Fotografia di Spilimbergo) in collaboration with Fondazione Forma per la Fotografia.
