During Milan Design Week 2018, CEDIT – Ceramiche d’Italia presented Rilievi, the new collection of surfaces for interior design created by Zaven.
Of great aesthetic impact, Rilievi is a project of porcelain stoneware surfaces enhanced by three-dimensional ceramic decorations, combining creativity, technology and Italian workmanship.
The collection reflects the path of research on transformation of the two-dimensional sign into volume, conducted by the two designers of Zaven, Enrica Cavarzan & Marco Zavagno, reinterpreting and industrializing the project Practice Practice Practice on a large scale – a true ceramic artwork in a limited edition – presented at the London Design Festival 2017 and winner of the Wallpaper Design Award 2018.
Three-dimensional elements with different geometric forms and colors decorate the large CEDIT slabs, transforming walls (and spaces) into true theatrical compositions.
An original collection that plays with modular repetition of a three-dimensional portion in variable configurations: design that combines different forms and tones on large ceramic slabs of various colors, for maximum freedom of personalization.
Thanks to collaboration with CEDIT, the designers have been able to experiment with the expressive and application potential of ceramics, giving rise to a project-sculpture that combines the finest workmanship with industrial prowess.
