The Portuguese Pavilion at the 16th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale
Venice Biennale – until 25 November 2018 – Palazzo Giustinian Lolin – San Marco 2893 – Venice
The Portuguese Pavilion, in keeping with the title Freespace given to the Architecture Biennale 2018 by the curators Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara, presents an itinerary on Public Works (curated by Nuno Brandão Costa and Sérgio Mah ) through the selection of 12 projects by Portuguese architects built in the last ten years, providing the basis for reflections on architecture in public space.
On the piano nobile of Palazzo Giustinian Lolin, the collection brings together drawings, models and photographs of the 12 selected projects, including temporary structures, buildings and infrastructures for culture, education, sports and mobility, created by different generations of Portuguese architects born from the 1930s to the 1980s.
