For the 50th anniversary of the start of the activity of Richard Meier, the spaces of Fondazione Bisazza welcome a large retrospective on the work of the American architect. Meier will also contribute a site-specific installation titled Internal Time, which becomes part of the foundation’s permanent collection. The exhibition Richard Meier. Architecture and Designhas been organized by Fondazione Bisazza in collaboration with Studio Meier and includes some of the most emblematic works of the famous American architect. The projects will shed light, for the first time in Italy, on his design philosophy, with examples of the different typologies he has explored. The retrospective will include a selection of models, original sketches, renderings, photographs and products, including less well known works, like certain collections for the table. Among the most famous projects in the show: Smith House in Connecticut, Getty Center in Los Angeles, the Neugebauer Residence in Florida and the Jubilee Church in Rome. The site-specific installation is a geometric garden, a stylized forest of powerful vertical elements in white mosaic, where the sole horizontal feature is a seat for meditation. www.fondazionebisazza.it – www.richardmeier.com.
