Five events will take place simultaneously from 4 to 9 April at Fiera Milano in Rho: Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Salone Internazionale del Complemento d’Arredo, Euroluce, Workplace3.0 and SaloneSatellite.

“The optimism regarding the events in April is based on the good performance of the sector in the first ten months of 2016, which raises hopes for a continuation of this trend in the months to come. Italian furniture is constantly growing on nearly all international markets. The international character of the Salone del Mobile attracted a 67% share of high-profile foreign professionals at the last edition,” says Roberto Snaidero, president of Salone del Mobile.Milano.

The Salone del Mobile continues to be an important resource for the Italian system thanks to its capacity to attract sector professionals, visitors, designers, buyers and journalists to Milan from all over the world. This distinctive character makes Milan the capital of decor and design culture, also thanks to the strong synergy with the city and its institutions.

Milan will be ready and better prepared than ever for this international appointment that brings people from around the globe. The Salone del Mobile has always been a proving ground for the city, which is proud to be considered the capital of design and wants to maintain that status, demonstrating once again this year that it is the ideal setting for such an important fair,” said the mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala.

After the launch at the last edition of xLux, an area for timeless luxury in a contemporary key, the Salone continues its program of renewal with a new format, starting from the extension of the name, in Classic: Tradition in the future, with a new more homogeneous, balanced layout.

A Joyful Sense at Work, curated by Cristiana Cutrona, will narrate the evolution of office space in the future, through four installations by Studio O+A, Ahmadi Studio, UNStudio, SCAPE and the studio 5+1AA of Alfonso Femia and Gianluca Peluffo.

Space&interiors is back as the event on architectural finishes, at The Mall Porta Nuova, in the Brera Design District of Milan, with exhibit design by the studio Migliore+Servetto Architects.

A lounge area will be set aside for the Archicocktails: personalities from the world of design and architecture converse with visitors on the latest trends in design and construction.

The 2017 edition will also feature the exhibition Absolute Lightness, which through an innovative interactive and digital installation will highlight the value of finishes in contemporary architecture.
