Once again this year Samsung Electronics Italia challenges university students with a competition, supported by ADI– the Association for Industrial Design – in a seventh edition that is now open not just to designers, but also to all students enrolled in an Italian university (undergraduate or post-graduate) and young professionals not yet over 30 years of age. The theme of the seventh edition is A Lesson for Tomorrow. Technology of the Education of the Future. Once again in this edition, the Samsung Young Design Award will be organized in two phases. During the first phase, which concludes on 2 June, the young designers can register individually or in groups through the site www.samsungyoungdesignaward.comand submit their digital concepts. Then the jury will convene to select the 10 best projects, announced on 14 June. In the second phase the creators of the 10 selected works will have a chance to perfect their projects under the guidance of 2 tutors – Ilaria Marelli and Fabio Di Liberto– in preparation for the final part of the competition, a new development for this edition: SYDA Camp, a workshop in Milan, from 19 to 22 July. On the last day, the finalists will present their ideas to the jury, which will immediately pick the winners. The announcement of the results will be in September.
