Savio Firmino celebrates the start of the festivities for the 70th anniversary of its founding with a unique event, the traveling exhibition Ghirlandaio, a family of Renaissance painters in Florence and Scandicci. La Città degli Uffizi & Piccoli Grandi Musei propose an innovative itinerant formula to discover the works of this family of Renaissance artists. Domenico Bigordi (Florence 1449 – Florence 1494) was known as Ghirlandaio due to the particular garlands and floral decorations in his paintings. He was one of the most highly respected and refined artists of his time, thanks to inborn talent and great painterly skill.
