Ceramiche Refin pays homage to Ettore Sottsass Jr during the centennial of his birth, with a project that sheds light on one of the most important figures of architecture and design of the 20th century.
An exhibition and a conference created by Ceramiche Refin and CSAC (Centro Studi Archivio della Comunicazione dell’Università di Parma, in collaboration with Il Giornale dell’Architettura, in the Refin showroom located in the building that contained the studio of Ettore Sottsass Jr for many years.
On Tuesday 10 October, 17.00-19.00, the event begins with a conference – by invitation – and an exhibition entitled Sottsass, sperimentatore eclettico curated by Emanuele Piccardo and Francesca Zanella, with a focus on the ceramic works made for Galleria Il Sestante and Poltronova and the installation of fiberglass furnishings for the exhibition Italy: the New Domestic Landscape at MoMA NY in 1972.
