Driven by the joint efforts of two visionary founding partners, Carhartt WIP and Slam Jam, Spazio Maiocchi is an interdisciplinary hub and ideas incubator that will also contain the studios and display spaces of Kaleidoscope and Plusdesign, two successful Milan-based firms on the international scene, respectively in the fields of contemporary art and design.

The renovation of the spaces on an entire floor of a former industrial building of over 1000 square meters in the Porta Venezia district has been done by the architecture firm studio Andrea Caputo.com.

The visual identity of Spazio Maiocchi has been created by the art direction firm Bureau Mirko Borsche.
On 11 October the space opens with two exhibitions:

– Kaleidoscope presents the first solo show in Italy by the young artist from Montenegro Darja Bajagić;

– Plusdesign presents Rug Trip I, the first episode of a series curated in collaboration with Misha Hollenbach, on the theme of travel and the communicative power of carpets.
