Still Motion presents a series of original works created by five international graphic designers and made in Portuguese stone.
The designers – Ian Anderson, Jonathan Barnbrook, Stefan Sagmeister, Jessica Walsh, Pedro Falcao and Jorge Silva – have used both traditional and advanced techniques, applied to the specificities of the graphic design.
Still Motion investigates the particular potential of Portuguese stone, its color and texture, its physical and mechanical properties. It is the result of a challenge to adapt this material to an unusual application context: graphic design.
