The Ancient Theater of Taormina hosted an exclusive gala that brought together exponents of the fashion system, also paying homage to musicians, actors, personalities of design, journalism, medicine and photography, as well as pioneers of sustainability

On 23 July in Taormina the night of the Tao Awards was staged.

The lights of the Ancient Theater were rekindled on Taomoda , celebrated with an exclusive gala, the culminating event of the Taomoda Week 2022 , sponsored, among others, by the Ministry of Ecological Transition, by Confindustria Cisambiente, by the Sicilian Region and by the Regional Departments of Productive Activities, Tourism, Sports and Entertainment, Cultural Heritage, by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, by CBI Camera Italiana Buyer - The Best Shop, by the Municipality of Taormina, by Naxos Taormina Archaeological Park and the University of Catania.

La Perla dello Jonio, once again, hosted the most glamorous event of the Sicilian summer, bringing together exponents of the fashion system and paying homage also design personalities, journalism, medicine and photography, but also musicians, actors, as well as pioneers of sustainability.

The Tao Fashion Digital Award received during the Tao Award Night presented by the journalist Cinzia Malvini were Cividini, Mario Dice and Alessandro Enriquez. Brands that in the past had already trod the stage of the Ancient Theater for Taomoda and who have returned to offer their collections live, after having opted last February for a digital format included in the official calendar of the Milan fashion week.

The Tao Award in lava stone dedicated to sustainability , the last edition given to Ludovica Casellati, went to Vittorio Brumotti for his commitment in promoting quality tourism that respects the environment and, in particular, zero-emission mobility on two wheels.

The special Sustainabilty Awards were awarded to:

  • Valentina Curzi (RBRSL);
  • Antonio Quirici president of Cuoio di Toscana;
  • Francesca Vaccaro (COUTŪ) for sustainable fashion.
  • Josephine Pace for Alfa Green Solution for sustainable entrepreneurship

To the model Ludmilla Voronkina , muse among others of Fausto Puglisi, a plaque for her twenty-year career, in Fisar for the sommellery green, as well as the Mythos FashionDistricts.

During the gala also the brands selected for the Taomoda Sicily project, an incubator that brings together the excellence of Made in Sicily able to export the centuries-old artisan traditions beyond the borders of 'island, had the opportunity to present their collections.
