It is one of the ten historic chairs of the company that are still in production, with the exception of the Taboga designed in 1975 by Cini Boeri, now put back into production. This year for the first time, with new coverings, they will be on display at the company’s stand at the Fair in Milan. The same ten pieces, but covered with Alcantara, will be seen in the company’s showroom. There will also be a special catalogue on the historic chairs of Arflex. Maestrale, one of the historic pieces of the early collections of Domodinamica, celebrates its 25th birthday. Designed by Denis Santachiara, more than a lamp this is a decorative object in motion that makes you dream, an artificial gust that brings a luminous banner to life. The re-issue this year has a new finish in black painted aluminium, and a dedication to the 150th anniversary of the Republic. The new Maestrale will bring the Italian flag to life, in a large version three meters in height, inside the new Domodinamica showroom in the Tortona zone. Another 25th birthday, this time for the Nomos table designed by Norman Foster for Tecno. The occasion is celebrated with an exhibition installed at the Triennale by Pierluigi Cerri, featuring the table along with other Tecno projects. The exhibit has an itinerary of inclined walls composed of rough fir planks, each displaying an icon by Tecno. From the past to the present, from the P40 by Osvaldo Borsani to the Nomos table. To celebrate the Cuba divan created 25 years ago by Rodolfo Dordoni for Cappellini, a new edition has been made, called Cuba 25. The new product, still by Dordoni, transforms the original idea. Asymmetrical modules of different depths, with or without armrests, make it possible to create new configurations, for a more convivial concept of the divan. The Knotted chair was the first designed by Marcel Wanders for Cappellini, 15 years ago, and the start of a collaboration that still continues today. To celebrate the anniversary, Wanders enters the Milan showroom of the company with a special installation entitled “1000 and one Knotted Chairs”. The knotted cord chair has a carbon fiber core, and is an ongoing favorite in the brand’s catalogue. Landscape, designed by Jeffrey Bernett for B&B ten years ago, is now available in a new rocker version. To celebrate this birthday of the famous chaise longue, the English designer has created a new structure, available in shiny chromium or bronze nickel paint finish. The chair can also have padding created in collaboration with Kvadrat, available in five different colors.
