Interni, The Magazine of Interiors and Contemporary Design, and the Italian Cultural Institute, London, present the lecture The Campsite Shower Theory – In Praise of Just-Out-Of-Time Architecture Cino Zucchi Architect and founder of Cino Zucchi Architetti – CZA.
Through the ironic metaphor of the “campsite shower,” Cino Zucchi – one of the leading Italian professionals in the field of architecture and urban design – converses with Robert Mull, a professor at the University of Brighton, to shed light on a crucial point that separates works of architecture and urban environments from easily eliminated technical objects: the obligatory delay between necessity and solution, and the capacity of buildings and the city to change over time, taking on roles and functions for which they were not originally designed.
The evening will begin with an introduction by the Italian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Pasquale Terracciano, followed by Gilda Bojardi, editor of Interni, and Marco Delogu, director of the Italian Cultural Institute.
