Republic of Fritz Hansen, the historic, renowned Danish design brand, joins forces with Spotti, a famous Milanese company in the furnishings sector, to open a store in Italy. Located in the heart of Brera, on corso Garibaldi, it replaces the Fritz Hansen showroom, which has been completely restructured. The store, a source of inspiration for private customers, architects and designers, contains the entire Fritz Hansen collection, joined by a few significant complements and objects of Nordic brands like USM, String Furniture, Hay, Norman Copenhagen, Ferm Living, Another Country, OMM Design, and products by the designers David Taylor and Jón Helgi Hólmgeirsson. The shared design philosophy – simple, pure, timeless – the passion for quality and craftsmanship, and the mutual esteem of Republic of Fritz Hansen and Spotti form the foundations of this partnership. Spotti Viale Piave has also become a Fritz Hansen dealer, and starting in late September it contains some of the timeless icons of the Danish brand. The new space sets out to reinterpret Scandinavian design, focusing on its simultaneous impact and sophistication. The art direction of the store is done by Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto of Studiopepe with the technical support of Stefano Tagliacarne.  The concept of the project focuses on a new aesthetic in which Nordic style and Milanese design contaminate each other, combining historic pieces of the brand with projects by young designers and Scandinavian trademarks not previously distributed in Italy. The spaces stand out for their new lights and colors, and the design is dominated by a wall that extends across the three levels, featuring a graphic pattern freely inspired by the works of Arne Jacobsen.
