Wood + creativity = conceptual synthesis of the winners of the 2013 edition of the competition organized by Fondazione Aldo Morelato on the theme The Smallest – furnishing objects for domestic places. Objects that can truly be useful in everyday life, icons or memories of the past, connected with experiences, persons or moments of our lives with an intrinsic value and meaning. Aldo Cibic, Ugo La Pietra, Silvana Annichiarico, Ettore Mocchetti and Giorgio Morelato formed the jury that examined and evaluated hundreds of submissions from all over the world. The Fondazione Aldo Morelato – Progetto Opera prize of 5000 euros went to the project Ceppo by Marco Fiorentino, “for its simplicity but also ambiguity regarding the indoor-outdoor relationship of an object composed of parts that can be grouped.” A multifunctional object that can be used as a table or a chair. Made in aromatic solid cedar or oak, it is composed of 4 pieces, each with three smooth sides and one shaped side, joined by 3 synthetic rubber elastics.
