The trade show restarts in Rimini with a full slate of exhibitions and education to become a reference point for designers

Growing Superfaces. The B2B marketplace dedicated to the world of innovative surfaces starts again for the second edition on October 12 from the Rimini exhibition center and focuses on flexibility, the leading theme chosen this year to emphasize the ability of new materials to combine functionality, efficiency and aesthetics. The versatility, modularity and customization capabilities guaranteed by the products on display at the fair are the result of made-in-Italy technological research and creative development.

A community catalyst

"Superfaces in this second edition," says Angela Bellavista, brand manager of the trade fair, "aims to consolidate its position as a community catalyst for the innovative flooring and cladding industry. And alongside major companies that will be bringing their latest design solutions and surprising applications to Rimini, we strongly wanted a calendar of events of great appeal, combining both the perspectives of the sector and current and specific topics. We are therefore counting on valuable partners for a broad general sector reflection that will interest all professionals, from architects to designers, from engineers to installers, from distributors to contractors. I would also like to mention the concomitance with Sia Hospitality Design, the reference trade fair for the hotel industry, which every year proposes new hospitality concepts'.

The best of made in Italy

The shortlist of exhibitors includes leading companies in the production and installation of innovative surfaces for floors and walls, including Cimento, Ecocontract, Effeitalia, Li&Pra, Mapei, Sigma Coatings, Skema, Unilin and Unolegno. "Thus, among the Superfaces booths one will be able to discover the best of made in Italy, with ingenious and surprising applications capable of responding to interior design, acoustic insulation and energy efficiency needs."

The scheduled events

But there is also the calendar of events among the main aspects of the fair, organized by Italian Exhibition Group to enhance the desire to become a reference for designers on the subject of coatings. The three days, in fact, will be under the banner of training, including meetings, round tables and technical insights. Starting with the two deontological seminars organized by the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators of the Province of Rimini. The two training events aimed at architects will take place on the mornings of Wednesday, Oct. 12, and Thursday, Oct. 13, at the Superfaces Academy. The first seminar will address client relations and new taxation with a focus on Inarcassa's new communication strategies. The second will delve into the new boundaries of the architect's profession in the digital age, between web and social networks. Participation will entitle participants to 4 training credits.

Interni magazine media partner

The opening conference, Surfaces & Research: design changes course, Wednesday 12 at 3 p.m. at the Superfaces Arena, will be organized by Italian Exhibition Group and curated by Interni, the fair's media partner. It will then be a long series of technical partners to draw visitors' attention: Ala Assoarchitetti will curate a talk entitled The Skin of Buildings, Wednesday at 10:30 am. The next day at 11:45 a.m. it will be the turn of Aipi - Associazione Italiana Progettisti d'Interni, which will present the round table Shaping matter, transforms and generates emotion.

Wood, marble, natural stone

On Thursday 13 October at 10.30 a.m., Aippl - Associazione Italiana Posatori Pavimenti in Legno (Italian Association of Wood Floor Layers) and Q-Rad - Consorzio Italiano Produttori di Sistemi Radianti di Qualità (Italian Consortium of Manufacturers of Quality Radiant Systems) will hold a conference dedicated to wood flooring for interiors, including characteristics, types and combination with radiant systems. Also on 13 October, a talk will be held at 3 p.m. by Ghénos Communication, a communication agency specialising in design, architecture and real estate. Speakers will be architect Giuseppe Tortato and architect Nicola de Pellegrini. Finally, on Friday 14, the Associazione Marmisti della Regione Lombardia will be the protagonist from 11 a.m. with a focus on marble. The speakers at the talk, Designing with natural stone, a raw material for architecture and design, will be Giulio Marini, president of the association, and Luisa Folatti, member of the association. All appointments, excluding the ethical seminars, are free admission subject to availability.

There is also the Supermaterials exhibition

There is still room for an exhibition: iSUPERMATERIALI, set up in the centre of Pavilion D5 that will host Superfaces, curated by Studio Marco Piva, will tell the story of the connections between nature, man and material in a journey of mathematics and beauty. On Thursday 13 October at 11 a.m., Armando Bruno, partner and CEO of Studio Piva, will talk about the exhibition concept to Patrizia Catalano, a journalist from Interni.
