The Valcucine Brera showroom (corso Garibaldi 99) hosts an exhibition, an installation and a design talk, on the opening evening, to narrate the different facets of this incredible natural material. On 24 September, authoritative exponents will explain their choice of using wood as a primary design material: Gabriele Centazzo, president of Valcucine, Andrea Branzi, architect, artists and theorist of design and architecture; Ambra Piccin, the sensitive interpreter of this natural material, given new life in interior design; Maurizio Riva, an entrepreneur who has always combined a passion for wood with experimentation on design alternatives. There will also be a performance by Benedetta Cesqui Malipieroon the theme of wood, with a text by the journalist Barbara Malipiero. Until 31 October visitors can see the exhibition Wood Moodby Davide Colaci, who has selected 10 objects by 10 designers, and the photographic installation Il segno del Tempo, curated by Patrizia Scarzellaand based on the sense of time of James Hillman.
