In the second half of the 20th century Italian design achieved worldwide acclaim. A big part of its success can be attributed to the Milanese photographers Aldo Ballo and Marirosa Toscani Ballo: practically all the classics from that period have been photographed by them. Their pictures reveal the beauty and functional quality of objects, conveying their message. The exhibition at the Vitra Design Museum offers a new way of looking at the history of Italian design.
