An exhibition and a concept which, through a series of kitchen projects, reiterates the importance of the integration between design and architecture

With “Architectural Scenarios”, the exhibition staged during the last FuoriSalone, the design philosophy Valcucine wanted to confirm and amplify the importance of the integration between design and architecture with a view to a dynamic and flexible kitchen space that adapts to users and new convivial methods.

Reimagining the kitchen

This collective exhibition in fact celebrated the kitchens designed by Gabriele Centazzo, designer and founder of Valcucine, reimagining the environment of conviviality par excellence through the interior projects designed by the international studios i29, Neri&Hu and ARRCC.

Artematica Soft Outline: the kitchen as a place of exchange

The latter have studied a concept aimed at improving the experience of the kitchen as a place of emotional exchange and social meeting, interpreting Artematica Soft Outline with refined sensitivity, in an evolutionary perspective that has seen the kitchen space increasingly integrated with the environment, versatile and multifunctional.

In this vision, the soft lines and pure volumes of Artematica are thus enhanced which, in the Soft Outline version, is divided into independent modules, modular and combinable as desired. The use of special connecting elements gives movement to the composition, making it unique.

Blacks & Hu and the customization of Artematica

Still within the scope of "Architectural Scenarios", Valcucine presented two other concepts. The first, designed by Neri&Hu – the architectural duo formed by Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu – gave life to a narrative which, through the customization of the Artematica collection designed by Gabriele Centazzo, talks about spaces complementary to live in intimacy or to share.

Already from the name, The Hearth, the project places the kitchen at the center of domestic life and narrates the duality of the kitchen environment, representing its public face, with the kitchen positioned in an open square, and the private one , with a kitchen contained within a wooden structure.

New wooden elements

To realize the concept, the architects worked on the combination of Artematica, the maximum expression of the art of pure volumes, with the New Logica equipped backrest by Gabriele Centazzo, which provides three distinct areas – cooking, washing and preparation – and is completed by the insertion of new wooden elements and new internal walnut accessories, which enrich the work areas with functionality.

Total customization by i29

The Dutch architectural duo i29 instead signs an interior design project focused on the possibility of total customization and a holistic experience. “We have developed three installations,” explain the designers, “each based on specific characteristics of the Valcucine collections.

Three different spatial experiences that tell a story of refinement (Riciclantica Outline), craftsmanship (Genius Loci) and creativity (Logica Celata)”.
