Whirlpool Corporation's new EMEA regional headquarters, developed by RealStep and Jamestown and ready in 2023, will redevelop Milan's Certosa neighborhood. Starting with the renewed and colored walls

On October 17, 2022, Whirlpool Corporation took to the field alongside the non-profit association of volunteers WAU! Milan (We Are Urban Milano) to contribute to a significant redevelopment project of the Certosa district which will in 2023 the birth of the new headquarters of the Group for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The initiative saw the support of the Municipality 8 and the Municipality of Milan, in addition to the valuable contribution of over 100 employees of Whirlpool EMEA who committed themselves, during the volunteer day, to the cleaning and restoration of the walls of the Certosa train station and the Istituto Comprensivo Consul Marcello. The walls involved in the intervention have been renovated but also embellished and colored through the creation of murals.

Thanks to the concession of the wall located at the tram stop in Piazza Cacciatori delle Alpi, an artistic project was also created, conceived d to the designers of Nooro Design Studio Milan.

A new efficient, flexible and sustainable headquarters

The creative and virtuous initiative focuses attention on the territory but also on the birth of the new headquarters for the EMEA region of Whirlpool Corporation, developed by RealStep and Jamestown right in the optics of the urban redevelopment of the Certosa area.

The new headquarters, extending over over 7000 square meters spread over two floors, was designed to support innovative models of smart working and promote efficiency, sustainability and flexibility. A contemporary environment aimed at well-being, capable of encouraging collaboration and exchanges, both professional and personal, between people.

In fact, the project for the new headquarters represents an emblematic example of the way of conceiving work spaces in Whirlpool Corporation: places that combine comfort, functionality and respect for the environment in a LEED Gold certified property.
