INTERNI press room as a place for discussion between different lands, people and cultures linked to coffee. where the meeting between quality and sustainability is also expressed in the innovative contents of the furnishings

PRESS ROOM - The installation project for the press rooms of the exhibition at the University of Milan is inspired by the Arabica coffee plantations, with walls covered with wallpaper depicting coffee plants .

Among the furnishings chosen by Kartell and Carlo Bach, artistic director of illycaffè, as well as designer of the space, the new A.I. console stands out. by PhilippeStarck, produced by Kartell thanks to a circular economy program which from 2022 will give new life to the plastic of illy coffee capsules.

The layout of the space intends to highlight Italian know-how in a constructive comparison with the cultures of other countries, made up of research, innovation, experimentation based on the universal principles of sustainability and protection of places.

“illycaffè & Kartell imagine, through this installation, that we can 'sip' the future and embrace circular regeneration, savoring the differences and immersing ourselves in a sensorial journey to distant lands, where Arabica plants grow."

Inside the Press Office, the furnishings born from the collaboration between illycaffè and Kartell, which include the Re-Chair by Antonio Citterio and the newA.I. console. by Philippe Starck, both made with recycled coffee capsules.

The installation is curated by Carlo Bach, artistic director of illycaffè.
