The architectural project by Renzo Piano

The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles is the largest institution in the United States dedicated to art, cinema and moviemaking artists. The museum is housed in the May Company which has been renovated and enlarged thanks to Renzo Piano's project.

Spread over approximately 30,000 square meters , the cultural institution has more than 4700 square meters of exhibition spaces used to house a permanent exhibition, temporary exhibitions, two cinemas and theaters, as well as educational programs related to the film industry and flexible environments for special and public events.

The 1000 seats specially developed by Poltrona Frau

Poltrona Frau, through its Custom Interiors division, has created the 1000 seats that furnish the main theater, the David Geffen Theater. A project developed in over two years of work thanks to the constant support of the team specialized in seating at PF Custom Interiors with the architects of the Renzo Piano Building Workshop. The result, as has also happened in other contract references, is a realization completely tailored to the architectural and interior design needs, as well as functional and comfort.
