The fantasies of an original and unpredictable international fashion artist come to life in an unprecedented home collection

Artist, gardener, interior decorator, chef, performer, fashion designer: this and much more was Ken Scott. Visionary, passionate about nature, his trademark are the bright and sunny colours, innocent and primary, childishly pure, as well as the unpredictable combinations, the joyful flowers in a pop vein. Imagination, irony and technical skills are at the basis of creations that range over different fields. One of the most original and unpredictable protagonists of fashion, he is said to have said: 'One day I started to draw fabrics: that was the end of my career as a painter'.

An exclusive collection

"Beloved by movie stars, aristocrats and Italian and international celebrities, Ken Scott couldn't help but attract our attention," says Michele Moltrasio, president of the Gruppo Gabel. "And, after a careful selection from thousands of drawings in the Ken Scott Foundation archive, this exclusive collection was born."

Art, flowers, colours

The partnership was born in November 2022, when Gabel signed an agreement with Mantero Seta, owner of the Ken Scott brand, for the licence to produce high-end home linens and furnishing accessories. Since March, the collection inspired by the designs of Ken Scott, whose creations have brought a passion for art, flowers and colour to the world of textiles, has been available in GabelCASA shops, on the new official Gabel shop gabel1957.it and in a selection of linen retailers throughout Italy.

The fashion gardener

Thanks to his talent for decorating with greenery, his ability to plant and cultivate colourful flowers and fantastic gardens on fabric, Scott is remembered as the 'fashion gardener': for him, plants and flowers represent the essence of beauty. This soul takes on new life, today, thanks to the unprecedented collaboration with Gabel: an all-round proposal for all rooms in the home (bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom) made of colours, energy, originality.

For bed, kitchen and table

The bed offer consists of four designs, including the iconic 'Galla Placidia' motif, declined in the genres sheet-coverlet, quilted bedspread and duvet cover set, made of pure cotton percale with a very soft hand. The kitchen and table world, in pure cotton or linen-blend panama, consists of tablecloths, runners, placemats, loose napkins to coordinate and dish towels.

The bathroom line and furnishing proposal

The bathroom line, in pure cotton wool, includes 1+1 sets, bath towels, bathrobes and fouta beach towels, made with different processes: cotton and viscose jacquard terry, yarn-dyed jacquard terry and selvedge printed terry. The furnishing proposal, made of pure cotton percale, is composed of three designs, coordinated with the bed proposal, in the genres furnishing towel and furnishing cushions.

Attention to detail is also reflected in the choice of packaging: following research aimed at finding solutions capable of mixing practicality and the need for a proposal in line with the Ken Scott brand, while respecting the requirements of sustainability, Gabel proposes a soft gauzed cotton package, personalised with the Ken Scott logo and logoed ribbon, reusable for storing the linen.
